StarJam

StarJam is a unique celebration of the gifts and talents of children and young people with disabilities.

Thought to be the only organisation of its kind internationally, StarJam creates opportunities for young people with disabilities to perform or participate in a variety of spectacular events alongside big name stars. At the same time as enriching the lives of young people with disabilities, StarJam provdes the community with inspiration, compassion and confidence.

StarJam’s biggest ever event the StarJam Stage Show, is set for 13th May 2005 at the TestraClear Pacific Events Centre. It’s this event that the Foundation’s contribution of $50,000 will support. The show will see over 150 young people with performing on stage in spectacular musical and dance "jams" with celebrities of their choice.

Ese Aumelesulu, aged 15, has participated in all StarJam events so far. Here’s what he makes of the events: "I think project “StarJam” is the best thing that could ever happen in a disabled child’s life. It has surely been the best thing that ever happened to me. And it’s events like these that make us disabled people know that we can be as normal as we want to be and that we can achieve anything that we want to”.
