Tracey Richardson & Breath4CFTracey Richardson has been aware of Cystic Fibrosis for over 13 years, since two of her four children inherited this genetic condition. for the past two years she has been raising funds for children with Cystic Fibrosis through major New Zealand sporting events, and putting the money raised back into providing sporting equipment for kids with CF. Exercise has been shown to improve the overall quality of life and the long-term survival of kids with CF. Medical costs of a child with CF often mean that families have to do without luxury items like sports teams fees and sports equipment. In 2004 Tracey completed the 2004 Ironman New Zealand competition and her Breath4CF campaign became the first-ever charitable association in the events 20-year history – and she raised a massive $120,000. With the Vodafone NZ Foundation’s support – we know she’ll be able to take Breath4CF to a whole new level! « Back to 2004 recipient list | all recipients Tracey Richardson's monthly diaries |
