Annette Culpan and the Bali Community Health TrustWhen Kiwis Sue Cotton and Julia West went to Bali early in 2001 they were shocked. In the backyard of this tourist playground they saw children dying of illnesses that could be easily cured. They saw unnecessary suffering and third world medical conditions. So they did something. They founded the Bali Community Health Trust, to improve the standard of medical care and bring much needed relief. Then in October 2002 came the Kuta bombing, which only increased demand for the Trust's help.
Now, with the Foundation's support Annette has added her razor-sharp negotiating skills to the work of the BCHT, specifically focusing on sourcing medical supplies, building a business strategy for the BCHT and promoting awareness of its work internationally. « Back to 2002 recipient list | all recipients Annette Culpan's monthly diaries |
