Vodafone New Zealand Foundation - About us

About Us - Who We Are

The Vodafone New Zealand Foundation

The Vodafone New Zealand Foundation (the Foundation) is a charitable trust which was set up in November 2002. The sole trustee of the Foundation is Vodafone New Zealand Limited. It is funded by annual donations from Vodafone New Zealand Limited and from the Vodafone Group Foundation.
The Foundation manages two core programmes on an annual basis: the Grant Making Programme and the World of Difference Programme. Both encourage positive and healthy outcomes for young New Zealanders aged 12 to 24, who are highly at risk and facing significant obstacles in their lives.
The Grant Making Programme seeks to invest in and actively partner with innovative charitable organisations who are making a real difference to young people on the ground in our communities. It is the intention of the Foundation to partner with a handful of organisations over a 2 to 3 year period in the hope we can add real value to projects and outcomes.
Our youth focus is also broadly reflected in our capacity building programme - World of Difference - which pays the salary and expenses of up to 6 passionate New Zealanders every year, so that they may work for the youth-related charity of their choice for 12 months.

The Vodafone New Zealand Foundation has made a significant contribution to the community and has granted more than $6.5 million to charitable projects in NZ and overseas.
